La Amapola - Lucha Women

Guadalupe Ramona Olvera is better known to Lucha Libre fans as La Amapola ("The Poppy").
This five foot three, 130 pound luchadora was born on  September 9th, 1976 in Mexico City, Mexico.

She was trained by luchadors Satánico, Insolito, Franco Colombo, Memo Diaz and Jose Luis Feliciano.
La Amapola made her pro wrestling debut in December of 1998, and at age 38, she is still going strong.

Although she has worked for other wrestling promotions like International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), she is a mainstay of Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
In CMLL, she has held the CMLL World Women's Championship for 1,442 days making her the longest reigning women's champion there ever.
Marcela is the only one close at 1,303 days, and that was three separate reigns.

Besides the CMLL World Women's Championship, she has also held the CMLL-Reina International Championship (twice) and the IWRG Intercontinental Women's Championship.
