Estrellita - Lucha Women
It's really no secret that female luchador Bibiana Ochoa Barradas aka Estrellita, is very popular on this blog.
Trained by Hijo del Gladiador, Ringo Mendoza and Gran Apache, this lovely lady has been going strong since 1993.
She's five foot five, 128 pounds and has worked for both the major Mexican wrestling promotions, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA).
Although she has been wrestling for 22 years, she has only held one title, the Mexican National Women's Championship.

Dalys la Caribeña - Female Lucha Libre
Luchadora Dalys la Caribeña was born February 20th in Panama.
She works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
Dalys was trained by her husband (Negro Casas) and the CMLL Wrestling school.
She made her lucha libre debut on October 6th, 2009 in CMLL and has worked for them ever since.
Before she was trained as a wrestler, Dalys studied Kickboxing.
So far she has not held any wrestling titles in CMLL, but she did win the annual CMLL Bodybuilding Contest (Women's Category) in 2013.

La Comandante - Lucha Women
CMLL luchadora La Comandante is probably one of the toughest women to ever set foot in a wrestling ring.
She was trained by Felipe Ham Lee, Shadito Cruz, Aaron Alvarado Nieves, Karloff Lagarde and made her debut on February 23, 1996.
Right off the rip she had a hard time.
Like Kana in Japan, La Comandante (who was then called La Nazi) was accused of working "stiff".
That means she would really hit her opponets and not try very hard to keep from hurting them in the ring.
She worked for both Asistencia Asesoría y Administración's (AAA) and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
In Japan she has worked for Universal Woman's Pro Wrestling Reina and World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana.
Although she has only held one title (the Reina World Tag Team Championship (with both Zeuxis and Yumiko Hotta), she has done well with luchas de apuestas ("matches with wagers").
She has taken the mask of Estrella de Fuego, and the hair of Rudy Reyna and Chica de Arabia.
La Comandante is a member of "Bullet Club Latinoamerica" along with Mephisto, Rey Bucanero and Terrible.

La Amapola - Lucha Women
Guadalupe Ramona Olvera is better known to Lucha Libre fans as La Amapola ("The Poppy").
This five foot three, 130 pound luchadora was born on September 9th, 1976 in Mexico City, Mexico.
She was trained by luchadors Satánico, Insolito, Franco Colombo, Memo Diaz and Jose Luis Feliciano.
La Amapola made her pro wrestling debut in December of 1998, and at age 38, she is still going strong.
Although she has worked for other wrestling promotions like International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), she is a mainstay of Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
In CMLL, she has held the CMLL World Women's Championship for 1,442 days making her the longest reigning women's champion there ever.
Marcela is the only one close at 1,303 days, and that was three separate reigns.
Besides the CMLL World Women's Championship, she has also held the CMLL-Reina International Championship (twice) and the IWRG Intercontinental Women's Championship.

Sarah Stock aka Dark Angel - Luchadoras
One of the most popular luchadoras on this blog last year was a female wrestler that isn't even from Mexico, Sarah Stock, aka Dark Angel.
Sarah was born on March 4th, 1979 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
She was trained by Phil Lafon, Eddie Watts, Diluvio Negro 1 and El Satánico.
Sarah made her wrestling debut on February 22nd, 2002 in Canada, but was soon in Mexico working for first Lucha Libre Femenil and Asesoría y Administración (AAA), and then Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
In Japan, Sarah has worked for the World Wonder Ring Stardom promotion where she won the Wonder of Stardom Championship.
She has also competed her in the United States with the Shimmer Women Athletes.
But of course a lot of American fans know her best from her stint with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling as Sarita.
She was with TNA from 2009 to 2013, but I swear it doesn’t seem like she was there that long.

Sexy Star - Lucha Underground
Thanks to the TV show Lucha Underground on the El Rey network, more people in the US are getting to see the lovely masked luchadora Sexy Star.
My only regret is that Taya didn't come with her.
Of course if you have read my Lucha Libre blogs you already know who Sexy Star is.
This is the lady that tried out for the WWE and they told her that she needed to lose weight and improve her English.
I hope they are all face palming watching her now.

Mickie James vs Faby Apache in Mexico
Here is former WWE Diva and TNA Knockout Mickie James getting the better of Lucha Libre star Faby Apache.
I think this is at AAA's Triplemanía XIX back in 2011, but I'm not sure.
That was when La Legión Extranjera (Angelina Love, Mickie James, Sexy Star and Velvet Sky) defeated Cynthia Moreno, Faby Apache, Mari Apache and Lolita in an eight woman tag team match.

Dark Angel - Sarah Stock Back In CMLL
As you may know, on January 9th, 2013, Sarita (Sarah Stock) parted ways with TNA wrestling.
While I was sad to hear this, Sarah hadn't wrestled for TNA in over seven months.
But TNA's loss is lucha libre's gain as Sarah is back in CMLL.
And may I say that she is looking better than ever.
Seriously...she has developed the body of a fitness model since leaving TNA.
I know she has won the CMLL Bodybuilding Contest six years in a row, but I think this is her best.
You can check out Sarah on Facebook here:
