Ayako Hamada, Fabi Apache and Angel Williams Versus Sexy Star, Estrellita and Cinthia Moreno

Usually when you see the name DoubleMiz it's associated with my Joshi blog, but here is a Lucha Libre video she posted of Ayako Hamada, Fabi Apache and Angel Williams (Angelina Love) taking on Sexy Star, Estrellita and Cinthia Moreno in a match for the Mexican wrestling promotion Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) in Mexico.
This is a three part video and the actual match length is about thirty minutes.
When's the last time you saw a thirty minute female wrestling match in the WWE or TNA?
Luchador Konnan, who you may remember from WCW and TNA, introduces "his team" Ayako Hamada, Fabi Apache and Angel Williams as "real wrestlers" from Japan and the USA.
But Ayako and Fabi were both born in Mexico City, Mexico and Angel was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Heck, Konnan himself was born in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba.
Well I guess he could have went for "international wrestlers" here....

Anyway, it's a really good match, and if you like womens wrestling videos, you really should think about subscribing to Double Miz's channel:

And here are some screenshots from the match, but to really get the feel, you need to go check out the whole video here:

IWRG Intercontinental Women's Wrestling Championship

IWRG, Grupo Internacional Revolucion or International Wrestling Revolution Group (English version of the promotion name) is an independent Lucha Libre promotion based in Naucalpan, Mexico.
They have a women's title belt listed as being held by Amapola, but the listing doesn't appear on the IWRG website.
Close to the end of 2007, Amapola stopped wearing the belt to matches. But up until 2007, IWRG had a talent sharing agreement with CMLL. In 2007 that agreement fell apart, and that may account for why Amapola stopped wearing the belt.

The previous history of the IWRG Intercontinental Women's Wrestling Championship goes like this......

Flor Metalica, Marcela, Josseline, Ayako Hamada, La Diabolica, La Amapola, Lady Metal were involved in a Torneo Cibernetico (elimination tag-team matches) that Ayako Hamada won.
In 2003, Ayako Hamada successfully defended the belt against La Diabolica.
In 2005, Amapola evidently beat Ayako for the belt in Japan.
She defended the belt twice against Marcela in 2006 and Hiroka in 2007.
