Sexy Star - The Most Popular Female Luchador

Who was the most popular female luchador on this blog in 2015?
Without a doubt it was Sexy Star (Dulce Maria García Rivas).
Sexy was born on September 20, 1982 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico.
She was trained by luchadors Humberto Garza Jr., Mr. Lince, Gran Apache and Abismo Negro, and made her lucha libre debut on August 29, 2006.
But even before she debuted as Dulce Poly, she was trained not only in wrestling, but in boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai.
Sexy Star may only be five foot three, but she has a LOT of fight in her.

Although she has worked for Asistencia Asesoría y Administración in Mexico, American audiences got to see her on the El Rey program Lucha Underground, and she made quite a hit here.
I wonder if the WWE regrets turning her down back in 2010?
They should.

La Magnífica - Female Luchador

This is luchadora La Magnífica.
Her real name is Tamara Rubí Barrón García, and like a lot of luchadoras and luchadors, wrestling is in her blood.
Her mother was the original La Magnifica, her father is Gran Cochise, her sister is Super Estrella, her brother is Boomerang, Oro Negro is her cousin and El Chabelo is her uncle. \
She was trained by her father and Satanico amd made her lucha libre debut May of 2007.
La Magnífica started out wrestling masked, but lost her mask in a match to Lluvia on April 3, 2009 at Arena Coliseo Guadalajara.

AAA Luchadora Sexy Star's Good Year

So far luchadora Sexy Star is having a really good year.
She has retained her Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) Reina de Reinas Championship and on March 18th at Rey de Reyes, she took part in a twelve person steel cage Hairs vs. Masks match.
The wrestlers involved were Aero Star, Alan Stone, El Elegido, Faby Apache, La Hechicera, Sexy Star, Mini-Estrellas Mascarita Dorada, Mini Histeria, Octagóncito and exoticos Pimpinela Escarlata, Pasión Cristal and Yuriko.
In the "Jaula de Locura" or "Cage of Madness" it got down to Star and her current arch rival, Pimpinela Escarlata.
Thanks to Konnan (and a foreign object) Star won, kept her mask and Escarlata lost his hair.

30 Days of Luchadora Sexy Star - Day 30

30 Days of Luchadora Sexy Star - Day 30
http://luchawomen.blogspot.com/

Yes it's the final day of my 30 Days of Luchadora Sexy Star entries.
Since I started this thirty day countdown, she won the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship.
I wonder if I did Thirty Days of Faby Apache...would she win any more titles?
Anyway, here is the last picture, again from that Triple AAA photo shoot....

Dalis La Caribena - CMLL

Dalis La Caribena - CMLL
http://luchawomen.blogspot.com/

Over at my other Luchadora blog I did a write up on Dalis La Caribeña back in April of this year.
But she seems to be picking up a bit in popularity so I thought I would include her here.
Well, that and I'm thinking about making this blog more CMLL oriented.

Anyway, Dalis La Caribena is the wife of luchador Negro Casas which makes her the sister-in-law of Felino and Heavy Metal, the daughter-in-law of Pepe Casas, the sister-in-law of Princesa Blanca and the aunt of both Tiger Kid and Puma King.
She is also the sister of Veneno.
Who says Lucha Libre isn't a family based business?

Dalis was born in Panama and was trained by her husband Negro Casas.
Although before that, she had an extensive Kickboxing background.
She made her lucha libre debut on October 6th, 2009 at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City.

You can check out Dalis at her Facebook page here.

Nanyzh Rock - Heavy Metal's Valet

This lovely young lady is Nanyzh Rock.
So far, Nanyzh has only been the valet of luchador Heavy Metal.
However, at Verano de Escándalo on July 31st, 2011 at the Plaza Nuevo Progreso in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, during the match between Samoa Joe, Silver King and Ultimo Gladiador versus Drago, Electroshock and Heavy Metal, Nanyzh and Jennifer Blake (the valet of La Sociedad) went at each other.
So you never know, she may just wind up in the ring.

Here is the best video I could find of here so far.
Acting in her usual role as valet to Heavy Metal.

Lluvia - Female Luchador

This is masked luchadora Lluvia.
We don't know her real name, but we know she was born on August 9th, 1984 in Distrito Federal.
We also know that her father is Sangre Chicana, her brother is Sangre Chicana Jr. and her uncle is Herodes.
She was trained by luchadors Satánico and Último Guerrero, and made her wrestling debut on April 30th, 2008.
Lluvia is five foot three and weighs in at 132 pounds and I believe she wrestles for CMLL.

Luchadora Goya Kong

This young lady is a relatively new Luchadora, Goya.
Goya (Sahari Alvarado Nava) was born on May 4, 1987 and like many other lucha libre stars, she has a huge wrestling family.
She is part of the Brazo Family, that makes the Von Erichs and Harts here look like a small time operation.
Goya is the daughter of luchador Brazo de Plata, also known as José Luis Alvarado Nieves, or maybe better known here in the US from his time in the WWE as Super Porky.
That makes her the granddaughter of the legendary Shadito Cruz, the neice of El Brazo, Robin Hood, Super Brazo and Brazo de Platino.
That also makes her related to Maximo, La Mascara, Psycho Clown, Danah, Muñeca de Plata, Brazo de Plata Jr. II, Brazo Metalico, El Brazo Jr. and Super Brazo Jr.
AND her uncle Brazo de Oro was once married to Lady Apache, and her brother Maximo is married to India Sioux.
See?
I've said it before...I bet their family reunions are a blast!

Anyway, Goya was trained by El Hijo Del Gladiador, and made her pro wrestling debut on December 8, 2007.
She debuted with Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) under the ring name, Goya Kong, but she has also wrestled in Mexico for Asistencia, Asesoría y Administración (AAA) and independent promotions.

Luchadora Martha Villalobos

Martha Villalobos continues to be very popular here on this blog, so I thought I'd throw up some videos I have found online of this famous Luchadora wrestling.
Did you know that Martha once held the Mexican National Women's Championship for 1,399 consecutive days?

First up is a video of Martha taking on another popular luchadora, Lola Gonzalez.
This was posted by renesilvacuevas.

Next up, is a video also posted by herbert43 of a six-woman tag-team match from 1993.
This one is Martha, Tania and La Diabolica taking on Lola Gonzalez, Lady Apache and Xochitl Hamada.
Embedding was disabled, but you can see the match here:

Here is a really short video with Martha savaging La Rosa, posted by Torgaman.

And finally, here is a video of Martha and Black Cat taking on Rossy Moreno and Jaivos Jr. posted by LaredoPromotions...
