Sarah Stock aka Dark Angel - Luchadoras

One of the most popular luchadoras on this blog last year was a female wrestler that isn't even from Mexico, Sarah Stock, aka Dark Angel.

Sarah was born on March 4th, 1979 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
She was trained by Phil Lafon, Eddie Watts, Diluvio Negro 1 and El Satánico.
Sarah made her wrestling debut on February 22nd, 2002 in Canada, but was soon in Mexico working for first Lucha Libre Femenil and Asesoría y Administración (AAA), and then Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
In Japan, Sarah has worked for the World Wonder Ring Stardom promotion where she won the Wonder of Stardom Championship.
She has also competed her in the United States with the Shimmer Women Athletes.

But of course a lot of American fans know her best from her stint with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling as Sarita.
She was with TNA from 2009 to 2013, but I swear it doesn’t seem like she was there that long.

Mexican Luchadoras - Goya Kong

The WWE might not consider Gloria Alvarado Nava your typical "Diva", but Lucha Libre fans love her as Luchadora Goya Kong.
Gloria is five foot seven and weighs in at 187 pounds.
She is a third generation wrestler and part of the Alvarado wrestling family, which includes over 20 active and retired luchadores and luchadoras.
I bet their family reunions are a blast!

Mexican Luchadoras - Goya Kong

Goya was trained by Hijo del Gladiador and made her wrestling debut in 2007, as a masked luchadora wrestling matches for Asistencia, Asesoría y Administración (AAA).
She left AAA and went to Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in 2010.
La Chica del Plata ("The Silver Girl") as she is nicknamed lost her mask to Princesa Blanca in an Infierno en el Ring steel cage match.
Eight women went in and only Goya and Blanca were left when Blanca pinned her and took her mask.

In 2013, Goya won the Trofeo Arena Coliseo 70 Aniversario, defeating Marcela, Estrellita, Dalys La Caribeña, Silueta, La Amapola, Princesa Sugey, Princesa Blanca, Zeuxis and Tiffany.
No small feat.
