April Hunter vs La Tigresa - IWA

I haven't done anything about April Hunter in awhile.
April was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and wrestled a lot here in the States, but she still has quite a following in Mexico from the time she spent working for various wrestling promotions there.

Besides making her mark in Mexico, she has also wrestled in Puerto Rico, for the wrestling promotion International Wrestling Association (IWA).
I've mentioned IWA here a few times before, but it's been a pretty good while.

The IWA was actually started in Japan by promoter Victor Quiñones in 1994.
In 1999, the Hispanic version was created and up until 2001, IWA was a member of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA).
From 1999 to 2001, it was also a a WWE Developmental territory.

Anyway, here is a match from IWA's Juicio Final 4 back in 2004, with April taking on a Puerto Rican wrestler, La Tigresa.

April Hunter - La Tigresa - IWA

Now normally April has the weight advantage on her opponents, because she is a big, powerful lady, but not this time.

La Tigresa enters the wrestling ring first, followed by April (accompanied by someone in an evening gown?).
April gets into the ring and La Tigresa wastes no time, going after April before the bell.

Some right hands and kicks from La Tigresa, then she throws April into the ropes giving April a chance to reverse and come back with with a flip and a clothesline that sends La Tigresa out of the ring and looking for cover.

April Hunter - La Tigresa - IWA- Lucha Libre

La Tigresa starts pointing and yelling at whoever that is outside the ring, which gives April a chance to hit her with a baseball slide, and hammer away at La Tigresa outside the ring.

Once back in the ring, La Tigresa gets the upper hand again and whips out the heel playbook, using eye gouges, hair pulling, biting and a modified camel clutch complete with mouth ripping and face clawing.

And that's only about half the match!
